Project
Designing "TecHand," the technical magazine for the ECE department at SJCET Palai, was an exercise in structured layout and typographic discipline. When dealing with dense technical articles, research papers, and departmental updates, the primary goal of the design must be readability.
I established a strict, minimalist grid system utilizing a stark white background with a high-contrast red accent color to guide the reader's eye. The cover design sets a modern tone, using isometric, technical line art against a deep black background, which contrasts sharply with the clean, airy interiors. I designed the magazine ensuring that the typography hierarchy, headings, pull quotes, and body copy, remained consistent throughout, resulting in a professional, academic publication that feels both authoritative and accessible.
The Result
Successfully managed the editorial layout of complex, long-form technical data into a highly readable, zero-error print publication that received unanimous approval from the ECE Department Head and faculty.
